SPONSOR-THEMED AWARDS
Introduced in 2022, the Sponsor-themed Awards category adds another dimension of excitement to Plein Air West Reading. Artists appreciate the incentives to paint certain subjects as well as the chance to vie for more prizes. At the same time, these awards help individuals enrich the local art scene, and local organizations and businesses to do the same while promoting their missions, goals and image.
These are “pass-through” awards of $500 that goes directly to the artist, plus a donation of $100 to help support the event.
Pick your subject.
Individuals, businesses and organizations have the opportunity to theme their own award. It could be the best painting of a specific area, historical site or subject. It could be a medium in memory of an artist friend, e.g. “The Jane Smith Award for Best Watercolor.” The sponsor’s name can appear in the title or description of the award.
Support the Berks County Art Scene.
The $100 donation in addition to your award will help to support this important cultural event, which will cost over $8000 to stage. It is produced by volunteers from two 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations: Art Plus Gallery and, this year, the Berks Art Alliance, who together with others from the community, will devote hundreds of hours to the event without compensation.
Enjoy the show!
Sponsor-themed Award creators will receive 2 invitations to the private Artist-Sponsor Mingle on Tuesday (6/13), plus 4 tickets to the Friday night (6/16) Patrons Preview & Awards Presentation at the Olympian Ballroom.
We’d welcome the chance to discuss the possibilities with you. For more information contact Russell Slocum at [email protected], 610-796-0418.
