Paint or draw any outdoor subject or scene within or seen from the Reading Museum Park. As part of Plein air West Reading 2026, the Quick Draw is open to the public, with awards given in Adult and Student categories:

• ADULTS: There will be a $10 entrance fee for artists over the age of 18 from the community. There is no additional fee for the PAWR juried artists or Open category applicants. 
• STUDENTS: Open to all public, private, homeschooled K-12 students, and to college students. No entrance fee.

 
SCHEDULE

• 8:00am-10:00: Register at the Terrace Tent. No fee for PAWR artists.
• 10:00am-Noon: Paint or draw anything in Reading Public Museum Park, from the Museum Road Bridge to Trudy’s Garden
• Noon-12:30: Bring artwork, preferably framed & wired, to the Terrace Tent
• 12:30 -1:00: Judging award sponsor Lisa Tiger
• 1:00: Awards presentation 
• 1:15-2:30: Sale of artwork
• 2:30: Exhibit ends, artwork removed by the artists

 
RULES

• Paint or draw any outdoor subject or scene within or seen from the Reading Public Museum Arboretum. The park extends from the bridge on Museum Road to the Meditation Garden just past Trudy’s Garden.
• Any 2-D medium is acceptable–paint, charcoal, pencil, colored pencils, etc.
• Start creating at exactly 10am, stop exactly at noon.
• Bring your art to the event tent by 12:30. All art in the Adult category must be framed and wired. For Students, framing is encouraged but not required.
• Artwork may be offered for sale or marked NFS (Not For Sale)
• All sales transactions will go through Art Plus Gallery, which will retain a 30% commission. Checks will be mailed within 30 days to the addresses provided at registration.

 
QUICK DRAW AWARDS
Entries will be judged and awards presented by Lisa Tiger, sponsor of the Quick Draw. Lisa is herself an excellent artist–3 years after graduating from Kutztown University with a BA in Fine Arts, she started her own advertising agency. Lisa Tiger Graphics Inc. enjoyed a successful 20 year run before Lisa changed her career to become one of the area’s best-known Realtors.
