In 2020 Bob retired from a 35 year career as a marketing director and previously a graphic designer. In preparation for retirement he accelerated his creation of scenic palette knife oil paintings with the goal of having a booth at Art on the Avenue. When the pandemic hit and AotA did not happen he began sharing and selling the paintings on social media, and subsequently was encouraged to apply for membership at Art Plus Gallery.
An avid cyclist, Bob has an eye for a scenic photo in his travels in Berks County and beyond, and those photos serve as subjects for his paintings. Bob paints with oils and a palette knife in a loose, energetic and colorful style.
Bob lives in Wyomissing with his wife Kelly and Stella, a Shetland sheepdog. He can often be found cycling the backroads of Berks, or the trails of Neversink, Mt. Penn, or Blue Marsh with his friends.
