Thursday, June 15 at Reading Public Museum Park
Students and adults are invited to join the juried artists of Plein Air West Reading 2023 in a special two-hour painting event at Reading Public Museum Park–draw or paint the best picture of a scene or object in the park that you can in two hours!
Registration will open at 8:00am at the tent across from the museum entrance. There will be no charge for students (K-12 or college) or the juried artists; the entry fee for all others will be $10.
Artists must bring their own supplies. You can use paint, pencils, pastels, graphite or any other drawing/painting medium.
Entries will be judged by local artist and business owner, Allison Shannon, and at 2:00 awards will be presented in both Adult and Student categories:
1st: $100
2nd: $75
3rd: $50
Honorable Mention: $25
Coordinated by Art Plus/BAA members Gloria Powell and Helen Reinhold, the event is open to the entire community. You may offer your piece for sale or choose to display it “NFS”, meaning Not for Sale. Traditionally sponsors handling transactions retain a commission of 30% of the selling price; the procedure and options will be detailed at check-in.
